Compliance Alert – Rise of standard VAT rate
The Estonian Tax and Customs Board (Maksu-ja Tolliamet) has raised the standard VAT rate.

The Estonian government has announced an increase in the standard VAT rate from 22% to 24%, effective July 1, 2025.
Estonia plans to roll out mandatory e-invoicing from 2027
The Estonian Ministry of Finance proposed abolishing the threshold for declaring taxable transactions and making e-invoices mandatory, possibly entering into force in 2027.
